About Deene

Deene Morris

Nothing in my life has gone in a straight line and probably never will.

I am passionate about living a congruent life. As a coach, facilitator and mediator, I walk the journey of bliss, blisters and meaningful growth with my clients.

Leadership Experience

I bring decades of entrepreneurial and non-profit corporate leadership experience to my clients from co-entrepreneur of an all-natural frozen food corporation to vice president of philanthropy in healthcare. I have now had my leadership practice, Inspire Leadership LLC, for more than a decade. It remains a privilege to witness the transformational growth possible when trust, creativity and innovation merge together to create a whole that is always greater than the sum of its parts.

Community

Co-Creating a community, whether a team, a system, or a group gathered to dialogue on current issues is one of my greatest passions and joy. It requires hospitality – the intentional practice of welcoming all that is new, awkward and strange to our collective table just as we would welcome guests in our home in service of greater inclusion, learning and growth.

Education

I hold a graduate degree in Organizational Leadership (Servant-Leadership) from Gonzaga University. I am a credentialed coach with the International Coaching Federation (ACC), a Co-Active Trained Coach, a Maslow Certified Executive Culture Coach, an InterStrength™ Self-Discovery Coach, a Certified 4 Stages of Psychological Safety practitioner, Hardiness Resilience Gauge and Master MBTI practitioner and an advanced EQ-i 2.0 practitioner. I am trained in asynchronous learning and serve as adjunct faculty teaching a graduate course I created on psychological safety. I hold a past certification as an executive fundraising (CFRE), supporting my work with non-profit boards.

The Rest of Me

I’m a foodie, a gardener, a birder, a hiker, a reader and a writer, a realist and a dreamer. I've been described as open-hearted, self-aware, and someone who lives with wonder and delight. I'm a wife, a godmother, an aunt, a sibling, friend and deep diver in life - because everything belongs. Listen for the inquisitive questions and belly laughs and you'll always know where to find me.

Change always involves a dark night when everything falls apart. Yet if this period of dissolution is used to create new meaning, then chaos ends and new order emerges. ~ Margaret Wheatley
